Discipline – Can Take You From Ordinary to Extraordinary

Discipline can take an Average Focused Hardworking Person to Become Someone Extraordinary and Incredibly Successful. There are millions of lazy Talented People out there waiting for their ship to come in. But the Disciplined, Driven individual blow those folks out of the water every time. Each of us has the ability to rise above our situation to reach our goals. But you can’t do that by just doing the same thing that everyone else is doing. Discipline helps you drive through obstacles, persist when things get difficult, go that extra mile and get the job or task done. We all want to be known as that strong committed disciplined person that can get things done.

Discipline is the Bridge Between Goals and Accomplishments

Jim Rohn said, “Discipline is the Bridge Between Goals and Accomplishments.” We all know that to reach our goals in life is going to take work. Sometimes that means missing things like watching TV, going out with friends, or even missing some sleep. But if you are disciplined to put the work behind your dreams and goals – and stay with it till it’s done – then you can achieve great success.

Self-respect is the fruit of discipline

Can you look yourself in the mirror and know that you have done your best each and every day! Discipline develops character. Trails and challenges reveal character. We all can stop and look at moments in our lives when we could have done more, done better, worked harder to finish something on time and we fell short. Those are the moments when we stopped instead of pushed forward. Talk to any high level athlete and they will tell you a time when they hit a wall and had to make a choice. Slow down and quit or step up and push through. Every day those challenges face us. Do you make it a habit to push through those challenges and get it done. Or do you stop, do it later, find an excuse why you didn’t get the job done.

Discipline Builds the Foundation of Who You Will Become

I began swimming at the age of 8 years old. I wasn’t very good. As a matter of fact – I sucked. I was a head taller than most kids my age. I was uncoordinated and clumsy. Last was where I was most every day during practice in those first couple of years. But I didn’t quit. My coaches were encouraging and pushed me to do better. I fed off their encouragement and never missed a practice. I fought through those challenges and all the awkwardness. Gradually things became easier and I developed better skills and strength. That discipline lead me to become an All American Swimmer in college. That was my foundation to discipline myself to become a Chiropractor and build several multi-million dollar businesses. I wasn’t the smartest person but I would out-work most of my colleagues because I was much more disciplined.

Don’t Be Ordinary – Be Extraordinary

The best part of all of this is that it doesn’t take incredible talent. There are plenty of unsuccessful people with loads of talent. It doesn’t take you being really smart and educated. Unsuccessful geniuses are a dime a dozen – and can usually be found teaching at some University. (there is an old adage: If you can, you do; if you can’t, you teach. Let that one sink in for a while). With Discipline you can overcome any weakness, fault, deficiency, lack of talent, or lack of education. All of this can be overcome with hard work and discipline – AND YOU CHOSE through YOUR Actions what it will be for YOU! Make The Right Choice!
